• Tenders are invited for Business Training for Women Entrepreneurs. The African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) in partnership with Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) is implementing a project that aims to strengthen the capacity of women entrepreneurs in 6 African countries to effectively manage their businesses and improve the business environment. The 6 countries are Liberia, Malawi, Rwanda, Republic of Congo, Mali and Chad. The specific objective of the project is to strengthen women’s economic security in the 6 countries by reinforcing the capacity of women entrepreneurs to effectively manage their businesses and to improve business environment The project is being delivered through a two-phased approach: a. Conduct a training needs assessment in each of the 6 countries to identify and prioritize the business skills needed by women entrepreneurs. The results of the training needs assessment will be used to develop the training curriculum b. Design and deliver a training programme to address the identified needs. Following the completion of phase 1, ACBF is looking to recruit an international consultancy firm based in Sub-Saharan region to undertake phase 2 of the project in Liberia, Malawi and Rwanda. A 3-day Training in these countries will be delivered in English. 2. Objectives of the Assignment The main objective of the assignment is to deliver customized training to build business skills of women entrepreneurs in targeted countries. Specifically the consulting firm will: · Based on the needs assessment referred to above, design and produce training modules and materials in specified topics, · Conduct two training workshops to women entrepreneurs in each of the three countries as per agreed schedule. Each workshop will take place over three days and target 20 women entrepreneurs · Develop an evaluation questionnaire to be administered to participants so that future workshops and training materials can be improved · Prepare and submit a training workshop report. 3. Request for Expression of Interest The African Capacity Building Foundation now invites eligible and qualified Consulting Firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services giving a description of similar assignments undertaken. 4. Qualifications of the Firm: · The consulting firm must have minimum 5 years of experience in developing and implementing training programs, most of which should be in the fields of business skills development · The Consulting firm should provide evidence through a registration document, that it is based in Sub-Saharan Africa and has been in its form of business for a minimum of 5 years prior to the issuance of this REOI, · The Consulting firm should demonstrate its experience through list of contracts awarded, including description, value, and year of commencement and of completion, client and a contract person for reference that would demonstrate that the Consultant has completed in a satisfactory manner minimum 3 similar contracts for similar training in the past five years.
