• Tenders are invited for Consultancy to Conduct a Knowledge Management Audit and Organizational Learning Training for Staff Development. The African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) seeks to engage a Firm with a good knowledge of African context to develop training materials and conduct training for ACBF Staff in “Knowledge Audit and Organizational Learning”. African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) was established in 1991 to build sustainable human and institutional capacity in support of Africa’s development. The Foundation’s goal is to improve the lives and prospects of people throughout the African continent. ACBF supports capacity development in Africa through grant making, knowledge sharing and technical assistance to countries and regional and sub-regional organizations. ACBF’s approach to capacity development focuses on addressing capacity needs and gaps as well as on stakeholder ownership of interventions, project and program sustainability and synergy of interventions with other development funding institutions. With 26 years of experience in Africa, the ACBF is transforming itself from a “go-to” place for grants into a “go-to” place for investments in integrated capacity development. The Foundation has therefore developed and is operationalizing a 5-year strategic plan (2017-2021) based on four strategic pillars and five service lines. The four strategic pillars read as follows: enabling effective delivery of continental development priorities, supporting countries to achieve tangible development results, enhancing private sector and civil society contributions to sustainable development, and leveraging knowledge and learning to increase development effectiveness. For ACBF to successfully deliver on its mandate, there is need to effectively utilize knowledge and innovation to improve its operational efficiency and achieve its strategic objectives. 2. Objectives of the Assignment The key objectives for this consultancy assignment are to; · Build individual and team capacity to support organizational learning and innovation · Acquire up-to-date and relevant theories, models and methodologies to enhance organizational knowledge management and innovation, and how to translate these into actions to enhance overall organizational efficiency and value proposition · Examine and recommend the best organizational arrangements, in terms of structure, processes, culture and values for optimal facilitation of organizational learning and innovation at ACBF · Equip ACBF staff with best techniques on identifying and leveraging knowledge creating, transferring, and utilization processes, as well as perform knowledge auditing and remedial activities · Ultimately, to improve the overall organizational efficiency and effectiveness of ACBF in use of knowledge & innovation for its day to day operations and achievement of the set strategic objectives.
