Description:
Expression of Interest are Invited for Consultancy Services to Conduct a Capacity Needs Assessment (CNA) of REPOA. The African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) was created on 09 February 1991, as a not-for-profit pan African organization, through a partnership between African countries and their bilateral and multilateral development partners as a mechanism for pooling resources to support capacity building in Africa. The ACBF is partnering with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to launch a new initiative to strengthen the organizational capacity of high-potential African organizations to enhance their effectiveness and performance. This is expected to lead to greater recognition and stronger partnerships with development partners. REPOA, previously known as Research on Poverty Alleviation has been selected as one of the organizations to participate in this initiative. REPOA is a non-profit, non-governmental organization and think tank concerned with socio economic transformation for inclusive growth and development. The organization undertakes and facilitates research, conducts and coordinates training, and promotes the development of policy for inclusive growth and sustained poverty reduction. The ACBF has set aside a portion of the resources allocated to this initiative to payments under the contract for Consultancy Services to conduct a Capacity Needs Assessment (CNA) of REPOA.
