Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Consultancy Services (firm) : Research on Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Support Systems in Zimbabwe: Policy Framework, Practises and Challenges. The services included under this project are; (i) Conduct a desk research on the extent to which support constraints are affecting SME growth and proffer recommendations on how SME growth can be boosted through policy and practice changes; (ii) Identify the policy gaps among the interventions that the government has been making over the years for prescribing corrective measures; (iii) Collect information from the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community and SMEs Development and other relevant institutions on challenges affecting players in the SMEs sector with specific reference to case studies.; (iv) Outline experiences of other countries; (v) Give recommendations on SMEs support policy and practices needed to effectively deal with the challenges faced by SMEs; (vi) Identify specific training needs for the Portfolio Committee on Women Affairs, Community and SMEs Development; (vii) Facilitate a training workshop where dissemination of research findings, validation of research report and training of Members of Parliament and staff will take place. The estimated period of execution is 20 days. Submission of bids: 21 December 2021 at 10.30 am local Zimbabwe time (GMT + 2 hours).
