• Tenders are invited for Consultancy Services for the Provision of Advanced Excel Training Programme. 1. PROJECT TITLE The African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) heavily relays on the availability and use of information and communication technologies (ICT) to support its strategic objectives and day to day operations. The Foundation uses the latest Microsoft Office productivity tool, Office365 cloud, with installed Microsoft Excel 2016 application. We aim to equip our staff in Finance with expert know-how on the use of advanced data analysis, formulas and other data manipulation, analytical and presentation features within the Microsoft Excel 2016. Accordingly, the Foundation seeks the service of an accredited Microsoft Excel 2016 training providers to conduct advanced capacity building training for at least 15 staff members over a period of 1 day. The training shall be conducted at the ACBF premises in Harare, Zimbabwe. 2. OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT The objective of this training programme is to acquire new knowledge and capacity to efficiently utilize the advanced data manipulation, statistical and analytical and information presentation features in Microsoft Excel 2016. Among others, the training programme shall cover the following areas or topics: · Use of advanced formulas for data manipulation, statistical and analytical purpose such as Financial, Logical, Lookup & Reference, and Math & trigonometry, statistical forecasting, as well as troubleshooting invalid data and formula errors; · Use of Financial Analysis functions such as VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, CHOOSE, Index, match, dynamic totals, IF with AND / OR, OFFSET, CELL, COUNTA and MID functions; · Use of advanced features, Pivottable, PivotChart, & Analysis ToolPak add-ins; · User of advanced charts, such as column, line, stacked, waterfall, doughnut and pie series, gauge chart & combined charts; · Importing and working on external data, including Text & CSV data, data validation, grouping, consolidation, use of PowerPivot and Power Query add-in; · Application of Macros in Excel, such as Recording, troubleshooting and executing macros; · Special Formatting, e.g. Conditional Formatting, Formatting with sections and grouping. 3. SCOPE OF PROJECT The training programme includes the following key duties and responsibilities, these are: · Develop a customized training materials (manuals) in soft copies · Develop learning outcomes of the training · Provide a practical and engaging hands-on-training at ACBF premises · Pre/post training assessment of learners’ ability to use advanced Excel 2016 features and functions · Setup sample datasets and add-ins that are required for the training programme · Provide certificate to learners upon successful completion of the training The Foundation will provide a training room with wireless internet connectivity. Each participant will have a laptop running Microsoft Windows 7 operating system or later with Microsoft Excel 2016 professional. 4. BIDDERS’ QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To be considered as a responsive bidder, the prospective training service provider must meet the following minimum criteria: · A registered and accredited firm with a valid commercial license to provide IT trainings; · A firm with at least three years of experience in conducting advanced Excel training; · The proposed trainer to conduct the training must be a Microsoft certified trainer for Excel 2016. · Experience working with international and regional organizations on similar assignment is an added advantage. 5. REPORTING The Consultant will be reporting to the Director, Finance and Administration 6. TIMEFRAME The training shall be completed in one (1) working day. 7. EXPECTED DELIVERABLES i) Soft copy workshop handouts and background materials to be submitted at least one week before the training for distribution to staff. Consultant will provide hard copy materials that may not be distributed as soft copy on the day of the Training. ii) Deliver the training report as per program within three days from the workshop iii) Hard and soft copy report of the workshop including recommendations for further training/interventions that may be required within three days from the day of the workshop 8. PAYMENT MODALITY ACBF will pay a lump sum after completion of the assignment. The payment will be made no later than 2 weeks after submission of invoice and payment request form by the consultant. 9. ACBF’S INPUT The Foundation will be responsible for the following: · Provide travel logistics for regionally / internationally recruited consultants · Provide accommodation for the period of the training · Print and distribute training hand-outs and materials. · Facilitate logistical arrangements for the workshop, including providing equipment and any additional materials that may be required. 10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ACBF shall, solely and exclusively, own all rights in and to any work created in connection with the present consultancy. The consultant shall not be allowed to post or publish (electronically or in print) any information relating to this assignment without the explicit authorization of ACBF 11.
