Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Digital Tourism Marketing and Data Intelligence support in Victoria Falls. The Destination Management Partnership (DMP) of Victoria Falls (launching in January 2023) has identified data and market intelligence as a gap in the destination, and prioritized it as one of the initial elements of their Destination Management Plan. The gap includes a lack of data that is specific to the city/area (and not nation-wide), fragmentation of data (held by different organisations and not well disseminated), unwillingness for some actors to share data (unregistered private operators etc), and some questions on reliability of existing data. The Partnership has also identified marketing and specifically cooperative marketing as a gap and opportunity and seeks the expertise of a qualified firm to provide strategic guidance and delivery on this agenda. This particularly entails addressing the weaknesses in 1.) lack of content, 2.) lack of digital community/engagement and 3.) lack of barrier messaging.
