- Expression of Interest are invited for IFC Zimbabwe Coffee Project IFC is undertaking an advisory project in the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe with a client company sourcing coffee from the area. The number of smallholders who grow and supply coffee to the project client (via the Zimbabwe Coffee Mill) is estimated at 450 as of 2020, and are concentrated in the Chipinge, Chimanimani, Mutare and Mutasa regions. This number should grow to 600 in the coming two to three years with more farmers joining, including from a newly identified region for sourcing i.e., Rusitu Valley and other locations. The project will 1) support smallholder farmers to improve coffee production and productivity through the sustained adoption and application of good agronomic practices and enable IFCs client and its partners to improve the sourcing capacity of high-quality coffee; and 2) build the capacity of the Zimbabwe Coffee Mill (ZCM) to maximize the offtake and quality of export volumes. IFC seeks a consulting firm to perform capacity building and research in the project. The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Please note that the total size of all attachments should be less than 5MB. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. Interested firms are hereby invited to submit expressions of interest.
