Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Index Insurance Regulation Consultant. IFC seeks to engage a short-term consultant to support the development of a regulatory framework for index insurance in Zimbabwe. The consultant will be required to work closely with both IFC and the Insurance and Pensions Commission of Zimbabwe (IPEC). Key tasks under this assignment include: 1) A gap analysis of the framework currently applied in the regulation of index insurance in Zimbabwe. 2) An outline of best practice in index insurance regulation. 3) Contributing to the establishment of a regional knowledge exchange forum for IPEC. 4) Recommending actions that could be considered by IPEC in the development and implementation of a suitable regulatory framework. 5) Supporting IPEC in outlining the recommended index insurance regulatory framework for Zimbabwe and in developing a roadmap for its implementation.
