- Expression of Interest are invited for Provision of Consultancy Services for Protection Coordination Consultancy on the Interconnected Zesa Grid under the Energy Sector Reform Support Project (Esrsp). The Consultancy Services are Expected to be Executed for a Duration of Twelve (12) Calendar Months. The objective of this assignment is to determine the optimum protection schemes on SAPP interconnections and harmonised settings to preserve the integrity of the ZESA grid under credible contingencies. Tthe Consultant's core duties will include but not limited to: • Reviewing performance of protection schemes and under-frequency load-shedding schemes on the SAPP interconnected power system based on typical events affecting ZESA. • Identifying triggers of power oscillations, review power system response to power oscillations, and recommend mitigation measures to preserve the integrity of the ZESA grid. • Reviewing performance of over-frequency protection schemes on the SAPP IPS affecting ZESA. • Carrying out necessary power system studies to aid analysis of performance of protection systems on the SAPP IPS interconnections affecting ZESA. • Recommending optimum protection schemes on SAPP interconnections and harmonised settings to preserve the integrity of the ZESA grid under credible contingencies.
