Description:
Proposal for conducting a Geotechnical Survey for the location of the new Natpharm Warehouse at the Harare Central Hospital Grounds. Brief Description of the Required Services: The service provider/firm is required to Conduct a Geotechnical Survey for the location of the New NatPharm Warehouse and produce and get approved the Geotechnical Survey Report. The successful accomplishment of the survey require the following activities to be carried out: 1.1. Field investigation 1.2. The Contractor shall conduct subsurface geotechnical investigations in the project area for the construction of the warehouse to determine the subsurface soil conditions, strength and deformation characteristics, soil parameters and characteristics and other geotechnical information necessary for the design calculations and analyses. 1.3. Laboratory Testing 1.4. Testing of the required soil parameters shall be carried out as required in accordance with the latest Standards 1.5. Data obtained from the geotechnical investigations shall be used in generating slope stability analyses which shall form the basis of an appropriate slope protection/stabilization proposal. It should be noted that the above activities are what UNDP envisages. It is the proposer\'s responsibility to consider all the other activities required to successfully conduct the geotechnical survey and take them into account in preparing and costing their proposal.
