TERMS OF REFERENCE (ToR) FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES TO TRAIN BOARD OF DIRECTORS ON SUCCESSION PLANNING Introduction TIMB is seeking the services of a qualified consultant to train its Board of Directors on succession planning. This initiative aims to ensure a structured and strategic approach to leadership transitions within the organization. Objectives of the Consultancy The main objectives of the consultancy are: To enhance the Board-s understanding of the importance of succession planning. To equip the Board with practical tools and best practices for effective succession planning for TIMB. To develop a framework for leadership transition within the organization. To align succession planning with the organization-s strategic goals and governance principles. 3. Scope of Work The consultant will be required to: Conduct a needs assessment to determine the specific training requirements. Develop a customized training module on succession planning for the Board of Directors. Facilitate a training workshop covering key aspects of succession planning, including leadership development, risk management, governance, and sustainability. Provide case studies and best practices in corporate succession planning. Assist in the formulation of a draft succession planning policy for the organisation.
