TIMB-s Terms of Reference for AI and Cyber Training Consultant 1. Background The Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board is primarily a regulatory and advisory statutory body. In 1936, through the Tobacco Marketing and Levy Act, the Tobacco Marketing Board was formed resulting in the selling of tobacco through the Auction Floors and, later, Contract floors (from 2004). In the year 1994 the Board was reconstituted to cater for the interests of all classes of different types of tobacco growers (Virginia, Burley, Oriental and Dark-Air Cured), buyers and other stakeholders. In the same year, indigenous buyers started participating for the first time in competition with traditional buyers. The Tobacco Marketing and Levy (Amendment) Act of 1997 saw the Tobacco Marketing Board renamed to the Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board. TIMB is seeking a qualifiedAI & Cyber Training Consultantto design, develop, and deliver specialized training programs to enhance the technical capabilities of TIMB Board and Executives. The training should cover key aspects ofArtificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Cybersecurityto improve awareness, skills, and preparedness against emerging digital threats.
