- Supply and delivery of Portable communication radios Frequency Range: The radios should support both UHF (Ultra High Frequency) and VHF (Very High Frequency) bands to ensure compatibility in different environments. VHF radios are suitable for outdoor and surface areas where line-of-sight communication is more feasible. Power Output: The radios should have sufficient power output to cover a radius of 2 kilometers. Look for radios with power output ranging from 2 to 5 watts, as this will provide a stronger signal over a larger distance. Battery Life: The radios should have a long battery life to ensure continuous communication throughout the work shift.
